The Sea

From sheer, rugged cliffs that drop straight into the sea to wide stretches of sand, the coast is a dramatic and inspiring place. Living in Britain you are never more than 75 miles (120km) from its 6000-mile (9600km) coastline, among which is some of the most beautiful in the world.

Many of the images here were taken at Lepe - a stretch of beach where the New Forest meets the Solent, looking across to the Isle of Wight. Although only a tiny place with just a handful of houses, Lepe has a wonderful character.
